Closing event for "Preventing Violent Extremism, Radicalization and Small Arms Proliferation in the Sahel and adjoining Coastal Countries in West Africa"

On 14 March, Ambassador Mochizuki attended the closing event for "Preventing Violent Extremism, Radicalization and Small Arms Proliferation in the Sahel and adjoining Coastal Countries in West Africa" implemented by Japan-UNDP partnership fund. The programme was successfully completed thanks to the collaboration between the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) and the UNDP Ghana from March 2023 to March 2024.
Major General Richard Addo Gyane, the Commandant of KAIPTC and Mr. Sukhrob Khoshmukhamedov, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative expressed great appreciation for the support by the Government of Japan. Ambassador Mochizuki thanked KAIPTC and UNDP for the completion of the programme and assured Japanese government’s continuous support for the peace and stability in the Sahel and adjoining Coastal Countries in West Africa.
