The Embassy of Japan in Ghana offer a post of Economic Attaché in the Economic and Development Cooperation Section. We are looking for a professional with good communication and negotiation skills, good sense of initiative and capable to deliver well on short notice.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Research and analyze economic trends
2. Undertake survey initiatives
3. Prepare various official documents
4. Provide substantive and logistical support to consultive and other meetings
5. Assist in various events
6. Other ad-hoc tasks
COMPETENCIES
1. Speak and write clearly and effectively; listen to others correctly
2. Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve organizational goals
3. Meet timeline for delivery of products or services
4. Allocate appropriate amount of time and resources for completing work
5. Identify priority activities and assignments
6. Is motivated by professional rather than personal concerns
WORK TREATMENT
1. Minimum USD 1,000 monthly salary
2. Social security (SSNIT), Medical insurance
3. Overtime allowance
4. Year-end allowance
5. 20 days annual leave
ELIGIBILITY
1. Ghanaian national
2. Non-nationals should provide a valid residence and work permit at the time of applying
QUALIFICATIONS
1. 28 to 44 years old
2. Advanced university degree in economics or related field (Master’s degree or equivalent is desirable.)
3. English proficiency
4. Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
5. Minimum of five (5) years working experience. Three (3) years or more of experience in economics or related area.
6. Able to start working from September – October, 2024
